Method for Registration

1.Online Registration is highly recommended. It can ensure that your registration information is processed quickly and correctly.

Remarks:
  1. Registration fees are charged in HKD based on the exchange rate of USD1 : HKD7.8.
  2. Developing countries are countries classified by the World Bank as low-income, lower middle income or upper middle income economies. The Main criterion used by the World Bank for its classification is Gross National Product (GNP) per capita. Please refer to the list of economies and their classifications available on the World Bank’s website: http://www.worldbank.org/data/databytopic/CLASS.XLS.
  3. Hong Kong and Mainland Participants do not include persons who have emigrated to AND are currently living in other regions/countries than Hong Kong and the Mainland of China.
  4. Students must be able to present proof of full time enrollment at an accredited university or college. A copy of student ID or a signed certificate from institutions must be attached to the Registration Form.
  5. Registration fee includes admission to all Sessions, including Opening Ceremony, Welcoming Reception, Keynote Session, Plenary Sessions, Parallel Sessions, Parallel Satellite Symposia, Field Visits and Professional Exchange, Workshops, Coffee Breaks, Exhibition, Lunch on 12 December, Conference Satchel & Materials: Conference Programme, Book of Abstracts and Proceedings.
  6. The registration fee does not include any kind of insurance. Please make your own insurance arrangement according to your concerns and needs.

Method of Payment
Payment of registration fee should be made by one of the following methods:

Bankdraft/Cheque: Bankdraft/Cheque should be made payable to “The Hong Kong Council of Social Service”. Please type or print your name, organization and full correspondence address on the back of the Bankdraft/Cheque and mail it together with the registration form to the Conference Secretariat.

Credit Card: We only accept Visa or MasterCard. Please complete the credit card payment section on the registration form.

Confirmation of Registration
Upon receiving your Registration Form and full payment, the Secretariat will send you a written confirmation with a registration number and details of your registration. Those who register online can print the confirmation instantly once the registration is completed. Any changes or alterations to the registration must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat. Please note that the written confirmation shall not in itself be treated as proof of acceptance of registration until payment is duly received by the Secretariat. The written confirmation should be presented at the Registration Desk upon arrival for collection of your name badge and Conference materials.

Visa Requirement
Some participants may need to apply for entry visa to Hong Kong. On request, the Conference Secretariat will send a letter of invitation to registered participants for applying travel visa. However, it shall not imply any financial commitment or support of the Conference to the participant.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Notice of cancellation should be sent in writing to the Conference Secretariat stating the delegate’s name and Registration number. Refund of registration fee will be made after the Conference subject to the following conditions:

On or before September 15, 2006 : Full refund less an administrative charge of 10% of the registration fee
After September 15, 2006 : No refund

Please note that registration fee is transferable to a person who has not yet registered for the Conference.

Additional Notes:

  1. Registration form received without payment will not be processed. Please do not send cash.
  2. Each participant should complete a separate form. Photocopy of registration form is acceptable.
  3. The Conference Organizers reserve the rights to change the programme without giving prior notice to the registered
