Key International Support Organizations

International Federation of Social Work
The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) is proud to support the 5th International Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health to be held in Hong Kong, Dec 2006.

The IFSW represents nearly 500,000 social workers in 80 countries around the globe many of whom work directly in the health and mental health field, all of whom must know and understand health and mental health issues in order to do their work. This series of conferences provides an invaluable opportunity to social work practitioners and academics and we wish the 2006 conference the success of its forbears.

International Association of Schools of Social Work
The Fifth International Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health will be an exciting occasion on which scholars, researchers and practitioners of social work from different cultural backgrounds can meet and exchange for new insights and knowledge. IASSW is pleased to lend our full support to the Conference. In particular, we invite those who work in schools of social work in different countries or regions to contribute your ideas and fruits from your research to it.

Association of Oncology Social Work
The Association of Oncology Social Work are very excited to partner and collaborate in the 5th International Social Work in Health and Mental Health Conference that will be held in Hong Kong in December 2006. This conference offers social workers from many areas of health practice the opportunity to come together and share their specialist expertise in health as well as learn from each of the diverse specialties that will present and contribute to this meeting. This unique conference offers our Association the opportunity to look at psychosocial practice in cancer care from a research, education, program development and practice perspective. It will facilitate our ongoing efforts to establish future international exchanges and growth of oncology social work networks within our specialist field of practice. Of significant importance and value to AOSW is that this conference will bring together and integrate a diversity of social work practice in health; this will not only add to our specialty focus in cancer care, but will also enrich general social work knowledge, education, research, practice and ultimately the profession as a whole.

National Association of Social Workers
The International Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health has a good track record of being one of the most important professional exchange platforms which fellow social workers find both fruitful and meaningful. Its Fifth Conference is going to be held in Hong Kong and will bring together professional social workers from the East and the West for synergistic ideas and practices for people suffering from threats of health and mental health. NASW lends its full support to the Fifth Conference and hope that all professional social workers in USA as well as other parts of the world can contribute to this occasion of knowledge sharing and building.

Council on Social Work Education
The Council on Social Work Education is pleased to support the upcoming 5th International Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health. We hope that all meeting participants have an informative and enjoyable time in Hong Kong.

University of Kansas Center for East Asian Studies
